Saudi Arabia Hosts Seminar Highlighting Women’s Role in Diplomacy
On Sunday, the Kingdom’s Foreign Ministry organized a seminar titled “The Role of Women in Diplomatic Work,” according to the Saudi Press Agency. Held at the Prince Saud Al-Faisal Institute for Diplomatic Studies, the event coincided with the recent UN International Day of Women in Diplomacy.
The seminar saw the participation of Saudi Arabia’s Deputy Foreign Minister Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khuraiji, female ambassadors to the Kingdom, and other members of the foreign diplomatic corps. Discussions centered around the accomplishments and challenges faced by women in diplomacy.
In his speech, Al-Khuraiji emphasized the strides made in empowering women across various sectors in Saudi Arabia under the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman, as part of Vision 2030. He noted that Saudi women are now serving as ambassadors, leaders of international organizations, and members of foreign missions and delegations.
